You know it’s good, ’cause Momma made it.

Bacon Wrapped Onion Burgers

INGREDIENTS

1 pound ground beef
2 lg onions
Two packages, thick bacon
1/4 cup Momma’s Original barbecue sauce
Momma’s Smokin’ sweet rub
Momma‘s Smokey barbecue sauce or Texas hot flash

SPICY DIP
Ranch dressing
Texas hot flash barbecue sauce

DIRECTIONS

Mix ground beef with Momma‘s original sauce and set aside.
Peel onion and slice off the ends. Slice the onions into half inch to 1 inch thick rings.
Separate the rings and match up one large ring with one smaller ring. Coat the rings with momma‘s Smokin’ sweet rub.
Insert your ground beef between the two rings to create a donut.

Wrap each doughnut with bacon. This should take about three slices. Smoke at 350 for 45 minutes or until you reach an internal temperature of 160 and bacon is crispy. When the internal temperature reaches 150, brush Momma‘s Smokey barbecue sauce on top of each donut.
Remove from heat, let rest for 5 to 10 minutes
